Kombucha is a fermented drink made out of black or green tea, sugar and a living kombucha culture called Scoby (Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria & Yeast) 

The Scoby eats the sugar leaving a slightly fizzy, tangy, low in sugar drink. 

It takes somewhere between 10-14 days for one batch to finish this proces. After the first fermentation you can add any natural flavours you want. I like to add seasonal healing herbs and fruits for the second ferment to enhance the health benefits of drinking Kombucha. 

What are the health benefits of drinking Kombucha? 

There are plenty! Kombucha is a adaptogen, this means it normalises and balances the body. Kombucha is loaded with good stuff for our gut and body. It contains amongst others vitamine B1, B6, B12, Vitamine C, minerals and healthy acids.
